Welcome to TCUS

The Toronto Centre for Ultrasound Studies [TCUS] is an ultrasound training facility based in Mississauga and serves the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). The institute offers training programs that are developed for allied health professionals; Foreign Medical Graduates and existing ultrasound technologists who wish to diversify or acquire additional skills to carryout ultrasound examination.


Our training programs are designed to strengthen knowledge and clarify existing understanding of basic ultrasound physics and instrumentation, medical terminology, anatomy, scanning techniques and Canadian and other North American protocols for carrying out ultrasound examination.


The objective of our theoretical ultrasound training programs is to prepare the participants for the ARDM specialty registry examination. The hands-on training programs provide opportunities in the further refinement of the imaging skills, conditioned through practice and theory necessary for the entry level Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound Technologist positions.


As applicable, an Ultrasound Technologist is expected to demonstrate an introductory level knowledge of ultrasound physics and instrumentation, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, patient care procedures, normal sonographic Application of abdominal and small parts, OB/GYN, musculoskeletal and vascular case study protocol.


A Certificate of Participation is awarded to participants upon successful completion of our training programs.
